Liza was born and raised in Illinois where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Lewis University. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Critical Care and Emergency for many years, then entered into the field of Critical Care, Nephrology, and Dermatology research. She is passionate about sports, though no longer competes, and her focus now involves research, travelling around the world, family and her cat.
