Seattle Clinical Research Center Recognizes FDA Approval of Elinzanetant (Lynkuet) for Moderate to Severe Hot Flashes Following Clinical Trial Participation

Seattle, WA – October 24, 2025 – Seattle Clinical Research Center (SCRC) is proud to recognize the recent FDA approval of elinzanetant (brand name Lynkuet), developed by Bayer, for the treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms (hot flashes) associated with menopause.

SCRC participated in multiple clinical trials evaluating elinzanetant, contributing to the pivotal data that helped support its approval. As a non-hormonal, once-daily oral therapy, elinzanetantrepresents a new class of treatment for menopausal hot flashes. It is the first and only dual neurokinin-1 and neurokinin-3 receptor antagonist approved in the United States, offering women an important new option beyond traditional hormone therapy.

Elinzanetant works by addressing the root cause of hot flashes within the brain’s temperature regulation system rather than through hormonal replacement. Its approval marks a major milestone in women’s health, particularly for individuals who are unable or prefer not to use estrogen-based treatments.

Seattle Clinical Research Center has long been a national leader in conducting women’s health clinical trials, with studies ranging from menopause symptom management and contraception to sexual health and hormonal wellness. The site’s involvement in the elinzanetant trials reinforces its ongoing commitment to advancing meaningful solutions that improve quality of life for women everywhere.

SCRC continues to enroll participants in a variety of women’s health studies, helping ensure that tomorrow’s innovations are developed with the highest scientific and ethical standards.
